    Paula is a regular host & collaborator for Women Are Mint and is ongoing Associate Artist with Theatre Royal, Newcastle’s training programme Project A and Associate Artist with Alphabetti Theatre. Her participatory work has led to collaborations with National Theatre and the RSC and in 2009 she was awarded the Channel 4 Just For Laughs’ Best Actress Award for short film Car Trouble.

Paula has twenty-three years experience working as an actor, director and theatre maker, most notably for regional and national tours of solo shows Donna Disco (Live Theatre, Winner of Wimbledon Theatre’s Best of the Fringe Award) and Brown Bird (Bush Theatre).

Anna is a stage designer and theatre maker from and based in Newcastle upon Tyne. She works across many genres and is particularly passionate about theatre with a strong social commentary.

Rebecca is a Stage Manager and technician based in Newcastle Upon Tyne specialising in small to mid-scale touring productions. She has been working as a freelance stage manager since 2016 and works regularly with Northern based artists, companies, and organisations on regional and national tours. Her most recent credits include Three Bears at Christmas (Kitchen Zoo), Meggie Magicia (Dir. Natasha Haws) and My Mate Ren (Dir. Holly Gallagher).

Lucy is a creative artist and theatre-maker from the North East. Her role as a movement director has seen her work across the region at venues such as Alphabetti, Northern Stage, The Customs House, Live Theatre and with various independent companies. Lucy’s movement directing has also expanded and she now also works as an Intimacy Director. 

Lucy is passionate about telling important stories and working with new, innovative writing. She is especially interested in raising the voices of women. So, when asked to be part of the No9 team, it was an absolute no brainer.


NICK TYLER

Nick is a musician, sound designer and theatre technician based in Newcastle upon Tyne. He plays guitar with folk rock group Holy Moly and The Crackers and has been working in theatre since 2018. Recent productions he’s worked on at Alphabetti include Santa Must Die, Rocket Girl, Sucking Eggs and Three Shorts.

LUKE MADDISON

Luke is a professional actor from the North East. Beginning his career at 18 Luke has gained a wealth of experience in many different genres of performance from Stage and Screen to Radio and Opera.

Luke is extremely excited for the No.9 team and can't wait to see what happens next with the project!
